Yes. The Plowsh Menstrual Cup is made with extra-soft medical-grade silicone and a smooth rim, so insertion feels gentle and comfortable. With a simple fold and a bit of practice, most first-time users get used to it within 1–2 cycles.

How long can I wear the cup?

You can usually wear the cup for 8–10 hours, depending on your flow. On heavier days you may need to empty it more often, but most people enjoy full-day or overnight protection without leaks.

Will it leak during workouts or sleep?

Once the cup is inserted and has formed a light seal, it stays in place during walking, travel, yoga, gym sessions and sleep. If you experience leaks, it’s usually a sign that the cup isn’t fully open or the size needs adjustment.

Can teens or first-timers use this cup?

Yes. Our smaller size is ideal for teens and first-time cup users. It’s soft, flexible and designed to sit comfortably without stretching or harming the body.

How do I clean and sterilize the cup?

Rinse the cup with water and a mild, fragrance-free wash every time you empty it. Before and after each cycle, sterilize it by boiling in water for 5 minutes or using a cup sterilizer. Let it dry fully and store it in the breathable pouch.

Fold the Cup

Fold the cup into a C-fold or punch-down fold for easy insertion. The soft silicone makes it simple to hold and guide into place.

Insert Comfortably

Sit or squat comfortably and gently slide the folded cup inside. Aim toward your tailbone, not straight up, for natural placement.

Let It Open & Seal

Once inside, let the cup fully open.
Rotate or lightly press the base to create a gentle seal under the cervix.

Remove & Empty

Pinch the base to release the seal, then pull the cup out slowly.
Empty the flow into the toilet and rinse before reinserting.
